Taxi Services

If you are arriving by taxi, ask the driver to let you out at the East Hennepin Avenue entrance to Riverplace, between Main Street and Lourdes Place. The entrance is directly under the Steamboat skyway over East Hennepin Avenue. The elevators are inside the door. Take one to the 5th floor.

Driving Directions

For those of you renting cars, follow the directions below to get to us from the airport, or download directions (PDF format) from other Twin Cities locations.

FROM MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:

• Follow "Outbound Traffic" signs, staying in the right-hand lane.
• Bear right, following the signs to West 5, 494, Bloomington.
• Continue on 494 West to Exit 5A, 35W/Minneapolis.
• Continue north on 35W for about 7 miles. As you near downtown, watch for Exit 16A, 65/Downtown Exit (at which the freeway ends and becomes 5th Avenue S).
• Continue on 5th Avenue S. to Washington Avenue.
• Turn left onto Washington Avenue and proceed about six blocks to Hennepin Avenue.
• Turn right onto Hennepin Avenue and proceed across the suspension bridge spanning the Mississippi River.

The One Main Office Building is located at the southeast corner of East Hennepin Avenue and Main Street. The street entrance to the building is located directly under the Steamboat skyway.

Parking

Ideas To Go validates parking at the Riverplace Municipal Parking Ramp located on 2nd Street. (Please note that the Pinnacle/East Bridge Parking Garage is contract parking only and we cannot validate parking at the St. Anthony Municipal Parking Ramp.) There is also meter parking available at street level enforced Monday-Friday until 6pm.

Riverplace Municipal Parking Ramp (Clearance 6'9")

• From Hennepin Ave, take a right on 2nd Street.
• Go one block. The entrance to the ramp is on the right.


• Enter the RIVERPLACE building at the A level (2nd floor).
• You are now in EXPOSITION HALL.
• Starting at the wood-floor, you are 245 steps from the elevators. (Yup. We counted.)
• Follow the wide wood-floor walkway around to the right looking for the signs for the ONE MAIN and EAST BRIDGE buildings (you are walking through two connected buildings).
• Pass the glass elevators and continue to the beige hallway. Go through a glass atrium and continue through the beige hallway maze to a set of elevators with gold doors.
• Take these elevators to the 5th floor.
• You are now at Ideas To Go.
• Welcome.
