We often talk about the benefits our clients get from working with our Creative Consumers® associates (CCs). As it turns out, the benefits go both ways! Long-time CC Jim Orfe shares his perspective:
I’ve enjoyed being an Ideas To Go Creative Consumers® associate for almost ten years now. One of the most gratifying parts of my job—aside from the endless supply of creativity-inducing snacks—is teaming up with clients.
There’s an enormous amount of personal satisfaction in watching a seemingly hesitant member of a client team go from a skeptical observer at 9 am, to a fully-invested participant by lunch time. And how could someone not make that change? On ideation day, the mood in the room is electric, the enthusiasm infectious, and the possibilities endless. Client team members often impress each other, and see a new side of long-time colleagues. This fosters better communication and spurs further creativity moving forward.
In the days following a session, I sometimes ponder how the positive effects of ITG’s unique methods of ideation (including Forness® thinking and Assumption Busting) are carried over into the daily lives and work of these clients. If they’re like me, the enthusiasm for and openness to new ways of thinking keeps horizons wonderfully broad, and makes finding solutions more of an interesting challenge than a frustrating obstacle.
Jim Orfe is a longtime Creative Consumer® associate for Ideas To Go, an innovation agency that works with Fortune 500 companies in ideation and concept development to incorporate the voice of the consumer.
