ITG Consumer Signal Series

Bringing consumer signals to life, one conversation at a time.

The ITG Consumer Signal Series brings you into live conversations with Creative Consumers® associates. Together, we'll explore how forces like AI, economic pressure, shifting expectations, and emerging technologies are reshaping how people shop, choose, plan, and live.

Each discussion starts with an emerging signal. Consumers bring it to life through personal stories, everyday decisions, and the moments where change becomes visible.

What Is the Consumer Signal Series?

The ITG Consumer Signal Series is an ongoing program of live consumer panel discussions built for teams who are interested in a clearer read on the changing consumer landscape.

Rather than hearing broad predictions about consumer trends, you hear directly from Creative Consumers® associates: expressive, creative, and thoughtful consumers who come prepared to share their habits, stories, and decision journeys.

Each session centers on one emerging behavior or tension. Attendees can watch live, hear real examples, and see how consumers make sense of the topic in the context of everyday life.

After each discussion, ITG develops a dedicated topic page with key learnings and free follow-up content, so your team can continue exploring the conversation.

What You’ll Get

A live view of behavior in motion

Consumers do not experience trends in neat categories. A shift in technology, culture, affordability, or convenience ripples across dozens of decisions. The Consumer Signal Series reveals those connections in real time, helping teams spot opportunities before they’re obvious.

The humans behind the data

Behavior is easy to observe. Understanding why it happens is harder.

Creative Consumers® associates go beyond simple opinions to share decision journeys, frustrations, tradeoffs, habits, and moments of discovery. The details reveal the tensions that shape behavior and inspire better products, communications, and experiences.

Speed with substance

Each panel gives your team concentrated access to consumer thinking around a timely topic, without waiting months for a custom study to begin.

Use the conversation as a fast starting point for an innovation session, an emerging strategy question, a messaging challenge, or a larger research plan.

Topic 1: How AI Is Changing Consumer Behavior

AI is no longer something consumers are experimenting with. It’s becoming part of how they shop, plan, research, compare, organize, and decide.

In the first ITG Consumer Signal Series discussion, Creative Consumers® associates shared how AI is changing the way they search, shop, plan, and make sense of everyday life. The conversation revealed a useful tension: consumers value AI when it saves time and provides relevant help, but they still draw firm lines around sensitive information, high-stakes decisions, authenticity, and human support.

The full live consumer panel recording is available to registered attendees. Two follow-up podcasts are free for anyone to watch:

  • AI, Trust, and the Human Line explores where consumers welcome AI and where they insist on a human voice, human service, and human judgment.

  • AI Uses, From Pets to Portfolios follows AI into everyday decisions, including vet care, home purchases, credit repair, injuries, travel, and family planning.
